The Boeing 737 MAX factory picked up in production, the US aerospace group said, struggling to put the past relating to the airplane's continuing safety crisis behind, according to Stephanie Pope, the newly appointed chief of its commercial planes division.

Reiterating the outlook of the company, Pope confirmed Boeing's plan to restore the production of the MAX to about 38 planes a month by the end of 2024.
