World no.1 Aryna Sabalenka progressed in Round 3 after beating Marie Bouzkova of the Czech Republic. Meanwhile, in Men's Double category, India's Yuki Bhambri and USA's Robert Galloway moved to the next round after beating France's Manuel Guinard and Monaco's Romain Arneodo.
After several stars suffered shock first round exits from the All England Club, including second seed Coco Gauff, third seed Jessica Pegula and fifth seed Zheng Qinwen, Top seed Aryna Sabalenka was pushed hard by Bouzkova in Wednesday's (July 2) opening match on Centre Court as her Czech opponent matched fire with fire in a bruising encounter. Meanwhile, in another matches, Sonay Kartal beat Viktoriya Tomova with a score line of 6-2 and 6-2 to progress into the next round.
In the men's singles category, Carlos Alcaraz beat Oliver Tarvet to advance to the next round. Alcaraz beat Tarvet 6-1, 6-4 and 6-4.
In the men's doubles category, India's Yuki Bhambri and Robert Galloway beat Manuel Guinard and Romain Arneodo with a score line of 7-6 and 6-4 to advance to the next round.
