Who was Angry Rantman? YouTuber who went viral for Chelsea monologue dies at 27

Angry Rantman aka Abhradeep Saha has died at the age of 27

Abhradeep Saha aka Angry Rantman, a Chelsea supporter who went viral for his video monologue, criticising the London-based club, has died due to complications triggered by a surgery he underwent last month. Saha was a popular YouTuber and his analysis of sporting events and movies in his unique style had garnered him a huge audience online.

Saha was admitted to the Narayana Cardiac Hospital in Bengaluru, according to reports. Due to health complications, he underwent open heart surgery but soon suffered multiple organ failure and was kept on a life support system.

However, on Wednesday (Apr 17), reports surfaced that Saha had succumbed, leading to an outpouring oftributary posts and condolence messages. From fan pages to Indian clubs to football experts, the tributes poured from everywhere.

Indian Super League (ISL) club Bengaluru FC posted a message mourning the loss of Saha.

"The BFC family is saddened to learn about the passing of #IndianFootball faithful Abhradeep Saha. A West Block Blue through and through, Abhradeep's love for the game knew no bounds and the passion in his rants will be missed. Rest in peace. #WeAreBFC #ForeverBlue," Bengaluru FC posted on X.

Kerala Blasters also released a statement, saying they were mourning the "loss of one of the most enthusiastic and passionate voices in Indian football".

Who was Angry Rantman?

Saha gained overnight popularity for his video where he went ballistic after Chelsea lost a match of football.His "There is no passion, there is no vision" rant became a catchphrase and millions of football fans routinely use the meme template whenever their respective teams underperform.

After gaining prominence through the video, Saha became a full-time content creator and posted rants and analyses on sports, cinema and more.

At the time of his death, Saha's 'Angry Rantman' persona had amassed over 120k followers on Instagram and more than 428k subscribers on YouTube.
