On Wednesday, during Chennai vs Mumbai game, Captain Cool showed why he is everyone's favourite.
An elderly woman had come to the Wankhede stadium not to watch the game but to meet the former Indian skipper. She was caught on camera holding a placard with her wish written on it - "I am here only for Dhoni".
After the match got over on, Dhoni made his way down the stairs from the team's dressing room and met the woman and the young girl who accompanied her.
IPL's Twitter handle also shared a video in which Dhoni can be seen taking out time to meet the woman.
Dhoni spoke to them at length and then took a selfie with the two and signed a Chennai jersey for them.
Mumbai, yesterday, put an end to Chennai's winning streak and defeated them by 37 runs.
Chasing 171 for victory, Mumbai restricted Chennai to 133 for 8 in 20 overs with Hardik Pandya and Lasith Malinga bagging three wickets each.
