England woman cricketer Kate Cross revealed in a tweet that five years ago, Kohli wanted to meet her teammate Sarah Taylor. "5 years ago since @imVkohli wanted to meet you @Sarah_Taylor30!!" Cross said in her tweet.
Taylor replied to Cross saying, "One of the more bizarre wake up calls I've ever had. #5ambreakfast"
Twenty-nine-year-old Taylor is England's wicketkeeper-batswoman who has been opening the batting in ODIs and in the middle order in Tests. In 2008, she became the youngest woman cricketer to score 1000 runs in ODIs during a match against India.
She won the T20I Women's Cricket of the Year awards in 2012 and 2013. Taylor completed her graduation from Brighton College and loves football club Arsenal.
Sarah keeps teasing Kohli on Twitter. In a post shortly after Kohli's marriage to Anushka Sharma, Taylor took a dig at teammate Danielle Wyatt, who congratulated Kolhi on the wedding.
The dig was based on Wyatt's 2014 tweet in which she had asked Kohli to marry her.
In a 2014 post, she posted a combination photo of Virat Kohli and his brother Alex saying "@imVkohli My brother @Alex_Taylor50 says he looks better than you. Just saying :)"
Taylor's ODI average is over 39 with seven centuries and 19 half centuries. She was part of England cricket team which toured India in February, 2019.
