Indian skipper Virat Kohli said that he is "100 per cent" fit for the upcoming Ireland-England tour. Recently, his much-hyped participation in English County Championship was ruled out due to a neck injury. Now, Virat has claimed that he is absolutely fine and ready to go. While talking about his injury, he said, "My neck is fine now. I've had good practice and played 6-7 sessions in Mumbai. Breaks like these make you fresh mentally. It has made me excited to go back on to the pitch again."
Virat Kohli addressed the media alongside head coach Ravi Shastri in a pre-departure press conference and talked about various related issues. He also mentioned the concerns that batsmen will face on England's pitch. Especially, batting against swing, he said, "Swing is a problem for every team, not just for Indians, If the team has momentum then you can do anything."
Kohli claimed that he is not focusing on his individual performance as "this is a team game". He said, "It doesn't matter how I perform or how one player stands out in the whole tour. We, as a team, have to play well. In the upcoming tour of England, our focus will be on how we can perform well as a team."
Team India will play two T20Is against Ireland from June 27 that would be followed by three T20Is, three ODIs and five Tests against England starting from July 3.
