Usain Bolt plays soccer friendly in Norway, loses 1-0

Legendary Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt played the last 20 minutes of a friendly soccer match with Norwegian club Stromsgodset against Norway's under-19 national team, losing 1-0.

The world record holder for the 100 and 200-meter races took the field in front of several hundred spectators and members of the press wearing the number 9.58, after his record 100-meter time.

Bolt tried to take advantage of his speed and even had a chance to tie, but could not hit a crucial header despite being in great position.

The former sprinter, who previously trained with Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund, thanked the fans and his teammates for their support, but admitted that he was a little frustrated that he did not score.

Bolt, who left athletics after the London World Championships last year and is a well-known soccer fan, had spent several days training with the Norwegian club in preparation for a UNICEF charity match he is to play June 10 at Old Trafford, the home of Manchester United.
