‘Stay Humble’ – Man City's Haaland to Arsenal manager Arteta after PL classic
Manchester City star forward Erling Haaland will not face any disciplinary action for his involvement in several heated exchanges during his side’s home game against Arsenal on Sunday (September 22) in the Premier League.
One of the incidents included him taking a jibe at Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta following the 2-2 draw at Etihad, asking him to ‘stay humble’, with Gunners’ attacker Gabriel Jesus confronting him right away, leading to an ugly confrontation.
At a time when Arsenal looked to break the deadlock by beating City at their home under Arteta, substitute defender John Stones hit one late in the injury time (90+8th minute) to salvage the draw.

After collecting the ball, Haaland smashed it onto Gabriel Magalhaes in the back of his head before joining his teammates in jubilation.
Soon after the referee blew the final whistle, Haaland crossed the line in taunting Arsenal manager Arteta, asking him to ‘Stay Humble’, twice. Jesus intervened immediately, with both taking jibes at each other.
Upbeat about his team’s performance and how things unfolded during the playing time, Haaland told Jesus to get away, “What are you talking about, get the f**king way, you f**king clown.”

City at the top in PL
Defending Premier League champions Manchester City are at the top of the points table with 12 points from five contested games thus far this season, with Arsenal, who finished second in the last two seasons, in the fourth position, with Liverpool sitting in the second, followed by Aston Villa.
Meanwhile, Arteta was Pep Guardiola’s assistant for several seasons before parting ways to become Arsenal’s new manager in December 2019.
Since then, he has transformed the playing style at his former club, with the Gunners inching closer to their first PL title since 2004 every time.
While City will face Watford on September 25 in the third round of the EFL Cup, Arsenal will take on Bolton.
In the Premier League, Arsenal will take on Leicester City on Saturday (Sep 28), and City will face Newcastle United on an away trip on the same day.
