
The Sports Ministry has recommended the name ofIndian Badminton player PV Sindhu for the Padma Bhushan, India's third-highest civilian award.
Sindhu, the first Indian woman to win an Olympic Silver medal, currently ranks second in the Badminton World Federation.
The 22-year-old badminton player has already been awarded Padma Shree, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award for Badminton, and the Arjuna Award.

Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also nominated MS Dhonifor the prestigious Padma Bhushan award.
