It's a boy and my girl is doing great: Shoaib Malik announces he & Sania Mirza are parents

Tennis star Sania Mirza and her husband Pakistan cricket captain Shoaib Malikhave been blessed with a baby boy.

Sania delivered the child early Tuesday morning in Hyderabad and both mother and child are said to be doing well.

Shoaib tweeted: "Excited to announce: Its a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual #Alhumdulilah. Thank you for the wishes and Duas, we are humbled #BabyMirzaMalik."

Sania Mirza's friend, filmmaker Farah Khan also wished the new parents and took to Instagram to express her excitement.

Sania married Shoaib in a traditional Hyderabadi Muslim wedding ceremony on April 12, 2010.
