Premier League club Norwich City has confirmed that one of their players have tested positive for coronavirus. One of two positive results in the latest round of testing ahead of the league's restart on June 17.
On Saturday, the league confirmed that two people have tested positive for coronavirus out of 1200 samples tested.
Norwich has released a statement which said: "The club will not name the player in question and asks that his request for privacy and confidentiality are respected at this time."
The club has said that the player would self-isolate for seven days before being tested again.
The results continue a trend of low positive results since the return to training last month.
The Premier League has been on halt since March and is set to resume to action on Wednesday where Aston Villa face Sheffield United and Manchester City take on Arsenal.
Norwich will resume their campaign against Southampton on Friday.
