With news circulating around that salaries of both domestic and International cricket players might be doubled in the upcoming season, BCCI's acting President CK Khanna on Friday shunned all the rumours, saying nothing has been finalised yet.
Khanna said there are chances of having another set of meetings over the pay hike proposal.
He further informed that BCCI acting treasurer Anirudh Chaudhry is working on the draft proposal and it will be discussed in BCCI Finance Committee and Special General Meeting (SGM).
The Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) is finding a way to add Rs 200 crore to the existing pool of revenue for salaries – Rs 180 crore – to provide a hike in the next season.
Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Head coach Ravi Shastri had made a strong presentation demanding hikes for the players, which he feel is a long overdue.
Former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly also spoke about the need for an increase in salaries for domestic cricketers.
