The most anticipated and controversial fight of all time between undisputed boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Irish mix martial artist of Ultimate Fighting Championship fame Conor McGregor will take place on 26th August 2017 at 5am BST.

Mayweather fought last in the ring back in 2015 and needs to win this match to surpassRocky Marciano's record and reach 50-0 for his career. The 40-year-old was known as the king of "pay-per- view". Getting him back to the ring was possible only with the right opponent and payday. Ironically, it took a non-boxer to break his prolonged "boxing fast". 29-year-old McGregor is the reigningUFC Lightweight Champion and former UFC Featherweight Champion.McGregor, who is making his professional boxing debut, is 21-3 in mixed martial arts.

According to Dana White, the CEO of Ultimate Fighting Club, the fight is expected to fetch more than $600--the world record duringMayweather-Manny Pacquiao 2015 match.
