Mumbai has finally ended Chennai's winning streak as the Rohit Sharma led side defeated MS Dhoni's brigade by 37 runs.

Chennai have almost lost this game as the side needs over 50 runs in less than two overs.

Chennai are seven wickets down and only a miracle can turn the tables now.  

Kedar Jadhav departed after hitting a crucial half century. In the same over Dwayne Bravo was sent back to the pavilion. Both players were dismissed by Lasith Malinga.

Hardik Pandya struck twice in his over to first dismiss MS Dhoni and later Ravindra Jadeja in the same over. 

Dwayne Bravo has come out to bat. fans have high hopes from Jadhav.

MD Dhoni departs. Just when he decided to hit, he fell to Hardik Pandya's bowling.  

Both Jadhav and Dhoni have establish a partnership of over 50 runs aare going strong to keep Chennai in chase.

However, the run rate has increased to 14 per over and therefore Dhoni needs to start his attack and support Jadhav, who is reaching his half century. 

Nine overs have been bowled and Chennai have made  runs for the loss of two wickets.

Like always, MS Dhoni is playing a patient inning, Kedar is hitting boundaries in between to keep the run rate under control. 

Jadhav is playing at playing at 32 runs. 

Suresh Raina was dismissed after Pollard took a brilliant one-handed catch near the boundary line.  

MS Dhoni comes down to bat along with Kedar Jadhav. 

Chennai lost openers Ambati Rayadu and Shane Watson early as the side bagen their chase of 171 runs.  

Kedar Jadhav and Suresh Raina are on crease and need to build up a partnership as Dhoni alone cannot get a win for the team. 

Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard's brisk cameos lifted Mumbai to 170 for the loss of five wickets after 20 overs. 

While Pandya slammed 25 runs in 8 balls, Pollard made 17 in 7 balls to help Mumbai set a decent target.

Earlier, Krunal Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav build up a good partnership to bring Mumbai back on track as the side kept losing wickets in quick succession. 

Suryakumar yadav was dismissed by Dwayne Bravo to dent Mumbai's big total aim. 

Only one over is left and Mumbai are 141/5 after 19 overs.

Suryakumar Yadav has smashed a perfect fifty to lift Mumbai. Mumbai;s score right now 120 for the loss of four wickets.

Yadav and Pandya have to pull some good shots to increase the target. 

15 overs have been bowled and Mumbai's score stands at 93 runs for the loss of three wickets.

Suryakumar yadav is playing at 40 while Krunal Pandya is playing at 31.

 The two need to start hitting or one of them should take the driver's seta now to set up a good target for Chennai. 

After 10 overs, Mumbai's score stands at 57 runs for the loss of three wickets.

Suryakumar Yadav and Krunal Pandya are on crease. What Mumbai needs right now is a big partnership. 

Krunal can play provided he is doing it cautiously.

Minutes after Rohit Sharma was dismissed, Mumbai lost Yuvraj Singh also. the hosts are in trouble as they have lost three wickets for just 50 runs.

Singh was dismissed by Imran Tahir.

Suryakumar yadav, however, is going tough against Chennai bowling attack.

Ravindra Jadeja removed Rohit Sharma to give Chennai their second wicket. Mumbai in trouble now.

Rohit was dismissed for 13. He got a faint edge and Dhoni managed to cling on. Flighted delivery pitching on the off stump and spinning away sharply, Rohit tried defending but the feet were stuck in the crease.

Five overs have been bowled and Mumbai's score stands at 39 for the loss of one wicket.

Suryakumar yadav seems to have returned to form as he has hit some good boundaries. He is playing at 24 which came in just 12 balls.  

Suryakumar yadav and Rohit Sharma are on the crease. Mumbai have the ground factor, making it important for the skipper Roht to play a captain's knock.

Quinton de Kock was dismissed early by Deepak Chahar as Chennai starts to dominate the Mumbai 'Paltan'.

What Dhoni had to say!

Speaking after the toss, Dhoni said," We don't look at the result, it's bipolar. We look at doing the basics well. We will bowl first. It's one of those wickets, if you don't bowl in the right areas you will be punished. I feel it's important to let the opposition put the runs on board and we will chase it later. With so much grass, it doesn't look like a turner. We need to adapt quickly and take the game forward. We have got Mohit in place of Santner.

MS Dhoni wins toss!

Chennai won the toss and opted to bowl against Mumbai. 

With skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni in red-hot form, Chennai will start favourites against the slightly off-colour Mumbai.
