Superb game management from England as they ball early on, through the middle they've gone about smashing it in the PowerPlay. It has worked in their favour, particularly Buttler's. The openers swing their bat around taking advantage of the field restrictions to bring up 52 for 0 in 5 overs.

Alex Hales is batting with Jos Buttler at the striking end, scoring two boundaries in the first over against Bhuvneshwar Kumar. 

Hardik Pandya and Virat Kohli's half century pushed India to take the score to 168, setting a target of 169 for England. The onus is now on the Indian bowlers to defend the target, it will not going to be easy to defend the target. The much anticipated showdown between India and England will be a treat to watch. 

Hardik Pandya took Chris Jordan and Sam Curran to the cleaners in the final two overs to power India to a challenging total of 168 runs in 20 overs. Hardik slammed two fours and a six as Curran went for 20 off the 19th over before Jordan conceded 12 runs in the final over. Hardik finishes with 63 off just 33 balls laced with five sixes and 4 fours.

Kohli is caught by Adil Rashid off the bowling of Chris Jordan as India lose their fourth wicket. Fourth fifty of the tournament for the Indian batting maestro, who has been unstopabble in the tournament so far. Rishabh Pant joins Hardik Pandya in the middle. India - 136/4 after 18 overs.

India pressing the accelarator now as Kohli and Pandya look to finish strongly. 10 runs from the 16th over bolwed by Chris Jordan before Sam Curran is taken for 11 runs in the 17th over. India - 121/3 after 17 overs.

India have finally manged to breach the 100-run mark as Virat Kohli continues his fine form in the semi-final. Hardik Pandya is also looking to shift gears on the other end and take on the England bowlers. India need to make the most of the death overs to post a strong total on the board. India - 110/3 after 16 overs.

King Kohli again on the ground guarding India against England. To confirm their win, English players has to take down Virat Kohli, else if Kohli remains in the crease its very likely that England has to fight a lot to win this match.

Some players have been comparing our campaign to the 1992 World Cup, so they are fine with facing England in the final as well. According to me, the biggest series in the world is the Ashes, but even bigger than that is an India vs Pakistan match. The whole world will enjoy that matchup. What else can I ask for."
 

India have 70% wins while batting first while England have just 31% while chasing this year.

What Hardik Pandya says ahead of the match: 'Very excited. Semifinal of a World Cup. Every ball will matter from here. Very excited. At the same time, trying to keep calm and follow the processes that got us here. A lot of people keep asking how do you find yourself calm in these situations. A lot of that comes from preparation. If you prepare well and tick all the boxes, if you're confident about your skills, you will be calm. Sometimes I feel that we aren't batting well or maybe they (SKY, Kohli) have been batting too well (laughs). He (Kohli) has been doing this for years, I still think he (SKY) got his international opportunity two years late, God is really kind still and he has been fantastic for us.'

England win the toss, what Jos Buttler and Rohit Sharma has to say about it?
Jos Buttler says, "We're gonna bowl first. There is going to be a great atmosphere here. Dimensions are different, we will have to adapt. We have two changes - Malan and Wood are out with injuries - Salt and Jordan come in. Looks a good wicket. Hope it stays well the whole game."

Rohit Sharma says, "We would have batted first anyway. We've played some good cricket, another opportunity for us to play the same way we have all tournament. Important to hold the nerve and take the game till the end. We've played these guys a fair bit in recent years and know what strengths-weaknesses they have. Important to exploit that. Important to stay calm and do what we want to do. It (injury) was a scare but I'm fine now. The kind of talent we have, it was a tough one (to pick the XI). Same team for us."

With Suryakumar Sen and Virat Kohli full geared up for the semi-finals, all eyes are set on Ben Stokes today. Stokes feels it is "do or die" for England at the T20 World Cup and tells team to be positive for the big showdown ahead!

Team India coach Rahul Dravid took the team to an Indian restaurant for dinner in Adelaide, a night before the semi-final match. The Indian players and their families dined at the famous 'British Raj' restaurant before getting down for the semi-finale with England.

Rohit (pre-match PC): He likes playing on the big grounds. He hates playing on small grounds. As he told me once, he doesn't like the smaller boundaries, smaller grounds [because] he can't see the gaps. I believe that he likes to see big gaps, and that's where his strength is.

Rohit: Beating England in England (2-1 in mid 2022) is a challenge and we overcame that and that is going to give us confidence. But we know the nature of T20 cricket and which gives us confidence.

OFFICIAL! Dawid Malan has been ruled out of the semi-final tie. Who will replace him at the top? 

Rohit: Knockout games are important. It is important to do well in that knockout game but it doesn’t define you in one particular game. It is important to realize this. As players and as teams it is important to play and pride ourselves on where we have come from. Tomorrow we will have to play well to get the result. If you do well in knockout games then it gives you confidence. One bad game in knockout can’t truly define you.

At the post-match presentation, Babar said, "Thanks to the crowd. We feel like we're playing at home. Got a good start with the first 6 overs with the ball. Later on the ball didn't come on well. Fast bowlers finished well. We planned before going that we'll utilise the powerplay. He's a young guy and showing his aggression (Haris). He's playing very well. We're going to enjoy this moment. But at the same time have focus on the final."

Pakistan won the first semi-final match against New Zealand by 7 wickets and made their place into the FINALS! The second semi-final match tomorrow between India and England will decide who will go against Pakistan in the finals. 

Former English Captain, Nasser Hussain talks about India's performance in ICC knockouts. He said, "You have to say they have underperformed in world tournaments. At times they have played some timid cricket with the bat for the players they have and when working for Sky (Suryakumar Yadav) last summer their former coach Ravi Shastri said that is something they have to change."

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri wants Rishab Pant to replace Dinesh Karthik against England in the semi-final match tomorrow in Adelaide. He said, "I would go with Pant, not just because he played here, but because of the X-factor angle he can bring to the semi-final."

England's left-handed batsman Dawid Malan might miss tomorrow's IND VS ENG semi-final match due to a groin injury.

Virat Kohli also suffered a minor injury during net pratice today, but now has returned back to the nets as the injury was not severe. 

The India Vs England T20 World Cup Semi-Final match will be played tomorrow, Nov 10, Thursday at the Adelaide Oval in Adelaide, Australia. The match will begin at 1:30 pm (IST) and toss will take place at 1:00 pm 

The match will be broadcast on the Star Sports Network in India and will be live-streamed on Disney Plus Hotstar. 

Rohit Sharma recalls beating England in its home ground, which was once a challenge for the team. 'Men in blue' derives confidence from that and are ready to take on Britons in tomorrow's match, as said by Rohit during a press conference.  

There are no chances of rain in tomorrow's T20 semi-final that is to be held in Adelaide, Australia. 

India and England will meet each other in the T20 WC after a long gap. India topped Group 2 whereas the Three Lions were the second team to have qualified from Group 1.
