Kane Williamson, New Zealand skipper will lead the squad of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the upcoming edition of Indian Premier league after David Warner's ouster from the tournament following a ball-tampering row.
The 27-year-old said in a statement released by the club on Twitter, "I have accepted the role to stand in as captain for this season. It's an exciting opportunity with a talented group of players."
Williamson was purchased for an amount of INR 3 Cr. for this season, which starts April 7.
