The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season is all set for yet another blockbuster clash as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) host Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in match 15 of the competition on Tuesday (April 2). Having seen their home form breached in the previous contest against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), RCB will look to bounce back against LSG who will be sweating on the fitness of KL Rahul. LSG beat Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 21 runs in their previous game, but are unlikely to have Rahul for his homecoming in Bengaluru who was not seen in training on Monday.
RCB will look to avoid their third defeat of the IPL 2024 having already lost to KKR and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) during the season. Their solitary win so far came against PBKS in the first week of the tournament. Virat Kohli is in fine form and needs only one more run to regain his Orange Cap, which currently resides with Riyan Parag of Rajasthan Royals. Virat has 181 runs in three IPL 2024 matches. Captain Faf du Plessis has 219 runs in four matches against LSG and will look for another impressive outing.
LSG have beaten RCB only once in the IPL history and might have to push above their weight if Rahul misses out. He was used as an impact player against PBKS but could be replaced by Deepak Hooda if he is not 100 per cent. Quinton de Kock has an impressive record at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, having scored two IPL fifties.
