IPL 2018: Mumbai sets 195 runs target for Gambhir-led Delhi

Winless Mumbai on Saturday set a difficult target of 195 runs for opponents Delhi to cinch their maiden match in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018. 

Openers Suryakumar Yadav and Evin Lewis gave Mumbai a superb start as the two scored 56 and 48 runs off 32 and 28 balls respectively.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan continued the pace after Lewis lost his wicket and smashed a 23-ball 44 runs.

Skipper Rohit Sharma, who did not open today, again failed to contribute and lost his wicket after making just 18 runs.

Meanwhile, Delhi bowlers performed late, failing to restrict the opponents to a low score. 

Rahul Tewatia dismissed both the openers, breaking the massive partnership that almost took the match away from Delhi. 

Later, Delhi came back more strongly, picking up five wickets for 28 runs in the last five overs

Gautam Gambhir won the toss and has opted to field first against Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium on April 14.

"We'll bowl. Wicket's not going to change. We haven't spoken too much about the last game. Result didn't go in our favour, so we don't want to discuss and complicate things," said Gambhir after winning the toss.

Gautam Gambhir has made two changes, Jason Roy for Colin Munro and Dan Christian for Chris Morris, on the other hand, Mumbai also has replaced Ben Cutting with Akila Dananjaya and Hardik Pandya in place of Pradeep Sangwan.

Hardik Pandya did not play in the previous game due to a sore back but it seems he is fit and fine and will boost the batting and cowling departments.
