IPL 2018: Dinesh Karthik hits six to finish off in style as Kolkata beat Rajasthan by 7 wickets

Dinesh Karthik's blistering knock of 42 runs off 23 balls helped Kolkata seal a 7 wicket victory over Rajasthan at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on Wednesday.

The players were in terrific form as Kolkata's both bowling and batting department excelled in today's game.

After the bowling line restricted Rajasthan to a paltry total of 160, opener Sunil Narine made decent contribution to give a good start.

He made 35 runs off 25 balls before getting run-out.

Later, it was Robin Uthappa who took the charge to take his team a step forward towards victory.

He played s splendid knock of 48 runs off 36 balls before being caught by Stokes of Gowtham. the players fell just 2 runs short of his half-century.

Dinesh Karthik and Nitish Rana took the final responsibility and established a good 61-run partnership to seal the match.

Rajasthan had set a target of 161 runs against Kolkata.

Earlier Dinesh Karthik had won the toss and opted to field.

Batting first, Rajasthan put up a modest target on the board. Both the openers Ajinkya Rhane and D Arcy Short started the innings well.

Skipper, Ajinkya Rahane scored 36 runs off 19 balls and D Arcy Short also contributed well with his bat and scored 44 runs off 43 balls.
