AB de Villiers on Saturday depleted opponents bowlers to help Bangalore win their clash against Delhi at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium.
An unbeaten 39-ball 90 from de Villiers steered Bangalore's chase after Pant had piloted Delhi to 174.
Like Delhi, Bangalore too had a poor start as Quinton de Kock and Manan Vohra fell soon after making 18 and 2 runs respectively.
Skipper Virat Kohli came to crease and tried to save his team from drowning with the support of AB de Villiers at the other end.
However, Kohli was sent back to the pavilion by Trent Boult's impressive catch. He contributed 30 runs off 26 balls before giiving away his wicket to Harshal Patel.
Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant helped Delhi post a fighting 174 for the loss of five wickets target against Bangalore in the 19th match of the Indian Premier League at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Saturday.
Iyer and Pant scored 52 and 85 runs respectively. The two shared a 75-run partnership for the third wicket as Delhi recovered from a poor start.
Put into bat, Delhi were off to a poor start as both the openers Jason Roy and Gautam Gambhir were back in the dug out minutes are entering the ground.
While pacer Umesh Yadav dismissed Gambhir, spinner Yuzvendra Chahal clean bowled Roy.
Pant and Iyer eased the pressure on the visitors as they took time to settle down before finding occasional big shots.
For Bangalore, Chahal was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2 for 22 while Umesh, Anderson and Sundar bagged one wicket each.
