Indian captain Virat Kohli became the fastest batsman to cross the 20,000 international runs leaving behind legends Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara.
Before going into today's match against West Indies, Virat had scored 19,963 and was just 37 runs away from achieving this feat.
He took a single off Windies' skipper Jason Holder's delivery to reach the massive milestone.
Kohli reached the 20,000-run mark in 417 and broke the record of India's Sachin Tendulkar and West Indies' Brian Lara, as the joint holders achieved this feat in 453 innings.
The 30-year-old has played only 417 innings so far 224 in ODIs, 131 in Tests and 62 in T20Is.
Virat Kohli is the third highest run-getter for India, behind Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid.
Overall, only 11 batsmen have amassed more than 20,000 international runs.
The run-machine Kohli is considered a modern-day great by cricketing experts and the pace at which he keeps breaking records is a testament to his ability.
