
The Indian contingent continues to shine at the ongoing Paris Paralympics 2024, with their medal tally reaching an all-time high at 27. As we enter the penultimate day (September 7) of this competition, several athletes across different disciplines will be in action.
Plenty of medal events await on Day 10 as India will bank on its track and field athletes to increase the medal tally.
On Day 10 of the Paris Paralympic Games 2024, all eyes will be on Arshad Shaik, Jyoti Gaderiya, Yash Kumar, Dilip Mahadu, Simran and Navdeep.
So far, India has won six gold, nine silver, and 12 bronze medals, with them already surpassing their Tokyo tally (19).
Simran, who missed out on winning a medal in the Women’s 100m T12 event after she finished fourth with a time of 12.31 seconds, will compete in the Women’s 200m final later on Saturday.
The day, however, will begin with the Para-Cycling Men’s C1-3 Road Race Final, in which Arshad Shaik will partake, while Jyoti Gaderiya will be in action in the Women's C1-3 Road Race Final around the same time.
Post midnight in India, Dilip Gavit will be fighting for the gold medal in the Men’s 400m T47 Final, whereas, Navdeep will be in action in the Men’s javelin throw F40, F41 Final a bit earlier.
