Well this is the time we had for today as India once again end the day on top, but fail to leapfrog New Zealand in the charts. However they won't have to wait for long to outright clinch the top spot as they will meet them on Sunday in Dharamshala. So its over to Sunday and for now we say good bye. 

100 for Kohli as India register another big win to go top of the pile in the World Cup standings. This is Virat’s 48th ton in the ODI format and second against Bangladesh in the World Cup.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz has provided Bangladesh with a big breakthrough as Shubman Gill got out caught in deep mid-wicket on 53. India is 132/2 inside 20 overs.

India opener and perhaps their best batter on form, Shubman Gill, completed his maiden fifty in the Cricket World Cup. He unlocked this achievement in the 19th over. India 130/1 in 19 overs.

India captain Robit Sharma missed out on completing yet another fifty in the World Cup 2023, as he got out caught in the deep on 48. India is 88/1.

Shubman Gill has upped the ante in Pune as he, alongside Rohit, put India in a strong position in the run-chase. In the first ten overs, India is 63/0 with Rohit on 37.

Indian captain and batter in form Rohit Sharma continues his golden run at the top against Bangladesh in Pune. The right-handed batter looks in sublime touch as he pierces gaps at will. India is 37/0 in the sixth over.

That's the end of the Bangladeshi innings as they only manage 256 for 8. It was a brilliant last over from Bumrah, who dismissed Mahmudullah with a peach of a yorker, but a last-ball six take Bangla Tigers close to 260. A BELOW-PAR TOTAL by all means but can it be enough?

India did well despite losing Hardik Pandya -- who can bat btw -- and were superb on the field. Jadeja, Siraj and Bumrah accounted for two wickets each and have restricted the opposition, who were eyeing 300, or more, after fifties from openers Litton Das (66) and Tanzid Hasan (51). Mahmudullah (46) led the charge later on in the innings as Bangladesh manage a decent score, but certainly not THREATENING.

Siraj concedes ten in the penultimate over as Mahmudullah struck a really big one. How many will Bangladesh add in the final six deliveries? BAN 248 for 7 in 49 overs.

It is all up to Mahmudullah to get some big hits and propel his side over the 265-run mark. It will still be below-par but you never know...

OUT!!! Jasprit Bumrah comes into the attack and sends Mushfiqur Rahim packing. But you simply cannot keep Ravindra Jadeja out of the picture. Mushfiqur Rahim really likes playing against India. He is already looking good and has got his eye in. A big score on the cards for the right-hander?

BAN 165 for 4 after 35 overs. 

Bangladesh still have a lot of batting to come. They will rely on this pair and Mahmudullah's experience to post anything over 250. But this is a belter of a surface so 350 will be competition. At least, 300-plus.

Ravindra Jadeja strikes again to send back Litton Das. Big blow Bangladesh as the set batter goes back. Still plenty of time left in the innings to reach a decent total but they have to rebuild from here.

India continue to chip away at wickets as Siraj strikes for the third wicket. Litton Das, however, still on the crease for Bangladesh. Still a lot of time to go in the match and Bangladesh looking good for at least 275.

Ravindra Jadeja has struck for India and suddenly the game hangs in balance. The good news for Bangladesh is that Litton Das is still batting and looking good.

Kuldeep Yadav strikes for India as Bangladesh lose first wicket for 94. a brilliant partnership which saw them adding 89 runs in around 10 overs after scoring only 10 in first five.

Bangladesh: 94/1 in 15 overs

Bangladesh have let loose after playing first five overs with ease. They have added 53 runs in the next five overs and that too without losing a wicket!

Bangladesh: 63/0 in 10 overs

Indian bowlers have kept things very tight in the first overs, giving away just one boundary so far. Both Siraj and Bumrah have been accurate and giving nothing away in terms of room or loose balls.
