In six consecutive loss, East Bengal lost to Mohan Bagan 0-1 in the Kolkata derby of the I-League at the Salt Lake stadium on Sunday.
Nigerian defender Kingsley Obumneme, who was signed by champion Aizawl FC in the off-season, scored the winning goal in the 38th minute. Kingsley headed the winner home from a Sonny Norde corner kick in front of a 64,000 plus in attendance.
This defeat makes it a six consecutive loss for East Bengal against city rivals Bagan.
