Indian tennis star Rohan Bopanna was seen practising along Swiss maestro Roger Federer ahead of the Australian Open final on Saturday.
Bopanna and Federer practiced for an hour, sharing some lighter moments as well.
Rohan Bopanna spoke to WION and recounted the experience of playing with Federer.
Bopanna believes that his practice sessions with Australian Open champion Roger Federer served as a learning experience.
"One day before the singles final, Ivan Ljubicic (Federer’s coach) asked me if I wanted to practice with Roger. Iagreed as we don’t get many opportunities like this,” Bopanna said.
"He is a true champion. What he has done is truly exceptional. He is such a great person. I know him on and off the court. It was a firm practice, a very good practice for an hour. I think I really enjoyed the practice. We were sharing laughs and keeping us relaxed,” said Indian tennis star.
"Everyone has huge respect for him.He was definitely favourite to win the Australian Open.He is someone to get very easy to get along with and winning the 20th grand slam is truly special, it shows the amount of hard work he puts in the game. It makes him really exceptional,” he added.
Bopanna posted a footage of the session with the legend himself on his Twitter account.
