'Was getting eaten alive': Stuart Broad forced to change room ahead of 1st Test

England's fast bowler Stuart Broad was forced to change his room the night before first Test match of a three-match series between England and West Indies kicked off at Kensington Oval.

Not only that, BBC's cricket commentator Jonathan Agnew claimed that a few of English players slept on mattresses in the corridor of their team hotel.

Broad, who was left out of the side for the first Test, revealedthe real reason for the unwanted disruptions.

The pacer was forced to move rooms after an attack of bed-bugs in the team hotel.

"I was getting eaten alive, managed to move rooms, no more bites. No disruptions, Nothing more to the story, not that this is a worthwhile story..." Broad responded to ESPNcricinfo on Twitter.

Denying Agnew's claims, an ECB statement said, "It is correct that Stuart has moved rooms at the hotel."

"But it is nonsense to suggest that some players have been sleeping on mattresses outside their rooms. This is not true," the statement further added.

England picked up four late wickets with the second new ball to turn the first Test against West Indies in their favour, leaving the hosts reeling at 264 for eight at stumps on the first day in Barbados on Wednesday.

England seek to get their campaign for a first Test series triumph in the Caribbean since 2004 off to a winning start.
