Copa America: Colombia not far away, says defender Yerry Mina

Colombia started their Copa America campaign on a high note as they defeating Lionel Messi's Argentina 2-0, however, Colombian defender Yerry Mina believes that the team has not achieved the desired results yet.
"Right now we are not where we want to be but we not far away. I think, step-by-step, we are doing things well," said the Everton defender while speaking to media at the Palmeiras training center in Sao Paulo on Monday.
Colombia have won the Copa America title in 2001 and they were runners-up in 1975, and they entered the tournament as favourites.
Colombia have under-achieved in their recent Copa outings but now they look determined to do better this year, especially under the orders of the highly-experienced Queiroz.
"Individually, I'm very happy because the team is united and calm," said Mina.
"To be honest, if we want to achieve something (important), we must work hard and that's what we are doing, especially understanding what the coach wants from us - which is very important," he added.
If Colombia manage to defeat Qatar, they are through to the knock-out round but Qatar could be a difficult quest.
Qatar fought back a 2-0 deficit against Paraguay to gain a point last Sunday.
