Champions League quarter-finals preview: Bayern face off against Sevilla

The Bavarians will face Sevilla in the first leg of quarter-finals of UEFA Champions League at 12:15 AM IST on Wednesdaymorning at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, Spain.

German giants FC Bayern, looking forward to setting up a substantial clash against Sevilla as the later has already proved their abilities when they ousted Manchester United in the round of 16 to reach their onlysecond quarter-final appearance in the history of the competition. Their previous appearance in league's quarter-final was in 1957-58.

Though the Spanish hosts are high on spirit but they will have to strategise a bit more as Bayern Munich have dominated the German football league this season.

Also, in the last match againstFC Barcelona, Sevilla displayed an outstanding performance to draw the match. Coach Vincenzo Montella said, "We are going to do our best to do something important and fight until the end like everybody is asking for. We want to do it together with the club and the fans, who will be in the stadium tomorrow to help us as usual."

Ahead of the clash, Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes said, "It's going to be a very, very difficult match, and we'll need two good displays on Tuesday and next week to advance to the semi-finals. That's our goal, but we know it's going to be very tough."

For Sevilla, the squad is fit and fine only Ever Banega will be unavailable due to suspension.

On the other hand, forBayern, the whole squad has traveled to Seville. Only keeper Manuel Neuer and Kingsley Coman is out due to injury. Star strikerArjen Robben has recovered in time and might create trouble for the opponents.
