Arsene Wenger to quit as Arsenal manager - who's saying what

Arsene Wenger has spent almost 22 years with the club Arsenal and has announced his retirement on Friday. He said he will leave the club at the end of the season.

In 2017, Wenger had signed a two-year contract but now has overruled it, he said, "After careful consideration and following discussions with the club, I feel it is the right time for me to step down at the end of the season."

The Frenchman also said, "I want to thank the staff, the players, the Directors and the fans who make this club so special."

He requested the fans for their love and support for the club and also asked them to take care of the values of the club.

In his statement he mentioned, "I urge our fans to stand behind the team to finish on a high. To all the Arsenal lovers take care of the values of the club."

The 68-year-old concluded his statement by saying, "My love and support forever."
