England's legendary cricketer Alastair Cook,33, slammed33rd Test century in his farewell match against Indiaat the Oval on Monday.
Recently, Cook announced that he will retire from international cricket after the fifth Test against India.
The former captain was teary-eyed as he slammed his seventh Test ton against India andwaved his bat with the London crowd giving the southpaw a standing ovation.
Cook had cracked his maiden ton against India in his debut Testat Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground on March 01, 2006.
Popularly known as "Cookie or Chef," Alastair Cook will be retiringas England's record Test run-scorer, hesurpassed Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara to become the fifth-highest Test run-scorer on the all-time list.
He also became the highest scoring left-handed batsman in Test history.
Just a coincidence!
In his debut match against India, he scored a half-century in the first innings and slammed a ton in the second innings (60 and 104).
A mere coincidence that he played his career's last Test against India, scoring a fifty in the first innings and a century in the second.
Against India, Cook has scored above 2,387 runs so far and slammed seven Test centuries and nine fifties.
