The devastated widow of Diogo Jota has paid a heart-warming tribute to her husband just a month after they had just gotten married. Rute Cardoso, 28, uploaded a collection of three photos of the happy couple on their special day which was just 11 days before the tragic death of the Liverpool star. Among the pictures Rute shared was that which seems to be their first dance as husband and wife. An image of the childhood sweethearts holding hands with their wedding rings on show was also posted by the widow. She wrote,"1 month of our 'until death do us part'. For ever, your white girl."
It appeared alongside a trio of pictures from the couple's wedding. One shows them strolling hand-in-hand with their wedding rings visible. The other two look like they were snapped at the couple's first dance at the wedding. Jota, 28, is seen with a huge smile on his face as he lowers a smiling Rute. Jota was said to be going to catch a ferry and head back to the UK when he and his brother died in a car accident.

The Portuguese striker was driving in a Lamborghini through Zamora, Spain when his flat tyre suddenly burst and pushed the car off the road. His 25-year-old brother Andre Silva, who played for Portuguese second-division club Penafiel, was also inside the vehicle when it burst into flames following the collision.
Jota is reported to have been behind the wheel at the time, police believe. The sporting community was left stunned following the accident. Thousands honoured the Premier League champion and Andre and extended their sympathies to Rute and the kids. Jota had wed his high school sweetheart just two weeks prior to the deadly crash.
Only 20 hours before his death, Diogo and Rute had put up a shared post on social media terming their wedding “a day we will never forget.” In one photo, Rute wrote, “My dream came true” — to which Diogo had replied, “But I’m the lucky one.” The couple met at school as teenagers and had been together for 13 years.
