Shehbaz Sharif will contest Pakistan general polls from Karachi

Earlier, Pakistan's Supreme Cour summoned Sharif in connection with the case pertaining to corruption in 56 public sector companies
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif will file his nomination papers for three constituencies in Karachi. Former Punjab chief minister will submit his papers for three constituencies, as reported by the Express Tribune on Sunday.
Another PML-N leader Saleem Zia obtained the nomination papers on behalf of Shehbaz.
Later, while addressing the media, Zia accused Pakistan People's Party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement of failing to restore peace in Karachi. He further claimed if PML-N was voted to power, it would change the fortune of the residents of Karachi.
Earlier, Pakistan's Supreme Cour summoned Sharif in connection with the case pertaining to corruption in 56 public sector companies.
The Chief Justice of Pakistan ordered Shahbaz Sharif to appear before the court to clarify his position regarding appointments of Heads of these companies on hefty salaries.
"Shehbaz Sharif should appear in person and explain how government officials were hired on such high incomes," CJP Mian Saqib Nisar remarked.
The president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) then asked the top court to allow him a chance to submit his response in the case.
Pakistan will go to the polls on July 25.
