According to a Pakistani media report, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khans's cousin Noor Jahan who had filed nomination papers earlier this month to contest for the upcoming general elections in Pakistan has now withdrawn her name.
Jahan withdrew her name from the polls on Friday to support theAwami National Party (ANP) claiming that her ancestors were affiliated to it and therefore she would not hamper it's standing.
She said she had some reservations with the party which were addressed by the leaders.
Jahan had filed nominations from Peshawar-XII constituency as an Independent candidate.
She has served as a councillor before and had been active in politics in the past few years.
