PM Modi arrived in Janakpur in Nepal today on a two-day visit. The Indian prime minister was welcomed at the airport by Nepal government officials.
This is PM Modi's third state visit to Nepal in the past four years. As soon as arriving in Nepal, the prime minister travelled to the ancient Janaki temple to offer prayers.
During his visit, PM Modi will flag off a bus service Janakpur to Ayodhya and will focus on strengthing India-Nepal ties.
Development and infrastructure will be the topmost agenda during his visit to the Himalayan Kingdom.
After landing in Nepal, the prime minister will visit Nepal's historical and ancient city of Janakpur including the Janaki Mandir followed by a civic reception hosted by the mayor of Janakpur at Barhabigha ground.
PM Modi will also inaugurate hydro-electric project Arun III along with Nepal's PM K.P. Oli.
Prime Minister Modi is also scheduled to meet with President of Nepal Bidhya Devi Bhandari and Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun.
Prime Minister Modi will also visit Muktinath temple in Mustang District and will depart for India on Saturday evening.
