'Not looking at military option' over Kashmir dispute: Pakistan foreign minister

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Thursday that Pakistan is not looking at a military option over Kashmir after Indian government revoked decades-old special status granted under Indian constitution to Jammu and Kashmir by abrogating Article 370.

“We are looking at diplomatic options and not military options to settle the dispute,'' Qureshi told a news conference in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad.

However, Pakistan reserves the right to respond to any Indian aggression, he said.

"We're not looking at the military option," Qureshi said, adding, "Don't we reserve a right to respond in case of any aggression?"

On Kartharpur, he said, “We standby our commitment on Kartarpur Corridor, we abide by it and will complete it.”

“Want to ask the Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankarthat whether there was a ban on the development of in Kashmir before the revocation of Article 370”, he added.
