Nagaland chief minister TR Zeliang who was sworn in on Wednesday won the trust vote in the state assembly today with 47 out of total 58 MLAs voting in his favour.

House Speaker Imtiwapang said Zeliang bagged votes from 36 NPF, 4 BJP and 7 Independents members.

Nagaland governor PB Acharya had invited former chief minister TR Zeliang to be sworn in as chief minister after embattled ex-chief minister Shurhozelie Liezietsu and his supporters failed to turn up in the Assembly to face the floor test.
