In yet another incident of ceasefire violation by Pakistan, an Indian Army soldier was killed in the Manjakote area of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir.

The soldier was identified as Lance Naik Mohammed Naseer who hailed from Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Pakistani side resorted to heavy shelling on Indian forward posts along the Line of Control in the Rajouri sector.

The Indian side strongly retaliated to the unprovoked firing by the Pakistani side.

In another incident, one CRPF jawan was injured when militants hurled a grenade at a patrol team in the Kulgam area of Kashmir.
