Expect good news soon, says Pakistan after India decides to build Kartarpur corridor

Soon after home minister Rajanth Singh announced today that the government willbe building theKartarpur corridor, Pakistan said it wouldshortly announcegood news about thefamous corridor.
While declaring that the Cabinet had approved the building of the Kartarpur corridor, home minister Rajnath Singh urged Pakistan to reciprocate India's move.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to commemorate 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji, the home minister informed.
Indian government sources said the Kartarpur corridor will be completedon August 31st, 2019.
Navjot Sidhu who had gone to PM Imran Khan's swearing-in ceremony had said that Pakistan Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa had told him that his country may open a route to Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib on the occasion of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.
After the announcement was made by the Indian government, Sidhu tweeted saying: "I welcome this auspicious step by the Union Cabinet, it will be a cup of joy for 12 crore ‘Nanak Naam Laivas.’ It will build bridges, burn animosity and will act like a soothing balm for two neighbouring countries."
Finance minister Arun Jaitley said the government desires that pilgrims be able to visit the holy shrine throughout the year.
He alsorequested the Pakistan government to recognise the sentiments of Sikh community and to develop a corridor with suitable facilities in itsterritory as well.
The Kartarpur corridor will be built by the government from Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur district to International Border(IB) along the Pakistan border.
