Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan is not the only cricketer-turned politician in Pakistan, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has also played cricket before entering the political arena.

Nawaz was a right-hand batsman who made a duck in his only appearance for Pakistan Railways against PIA.

The 68-year-old Nawaz Sharif has served as the Prime Minister for three non-consecutive terms and Chief Minister of Punjab for two consecutive terms.

Sharif was most recently ousted as prime minister by Pakistan's Supreme Court in 2017, for being "dishonest."

He failed to report a monthly income of US $2,723 from a company owned by his son.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan barred him from political office for life, and ordered Pakistan's National Accountability Bureau to file corruption charges against him.

They filed three cases against him.

In 2018, Sharif was recently convicted for corruption and eventually banned from political office for life.
