The India-IsraelCEOs Forum is all set to receive Prime Minister Modi and his counterpart IsraeliPM Netanyahu in Tel Aviv today. Following PM Modi's visit, Israel-India Innovative Initiative Fund has been announced to raiseinvestment in the field of technology.
The forum will initiate an interactive session between CEOs from Israeli and Indian companies. Two important names which are reportedly set to attend the meeting include JosephWeiss of Israeli Aerospace Industries (IAI) and Uzi Landau of RAFAEL Advance Defense Systems.

Joseph Weiss is the CEO and President IAI. He has served in the Israeli Navy for 27 years.
Weiss has been associated with many defence system programs including Israel'snewadvanced submarine program. He headed the $1 billion Dolphin class submarine development andmanufacturing program which is Israel's latestdevelopment in the field of defence.
Before serving in the Israeli Navy, Weiss did his Mechanical Engineering from Technion and MBA from Tel Aviv University. During his tenure in the Navy, he was given big projects like managing USA's advancedweapon system program for the Israeli Navy.
IAI is famous for its aerospace products and the bilateral ties between the two countries can help India to acquiremultifunctioning aircraft, drones, missiles and space-based systems.

Rafael Advanced Defence System, commonly known as RAFAEL is an Israeli defence technology companywhich was founded in2002. Uzi Landau was appointed as the Chairman of RAFAEL before heserved as the Minister of Tourism, and Minister of Energy and Power in the government. Landau also headedthe Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
Formerly known as EMET, RAFAEL has been a pioneer in defence equipment technology whichincludes Python missiles, Spike missiles and Iron Drome defence system.
RAFAEL has first-hand experience at developing and manufacturing air defence, missiles defence, air-to-air defence and aerial tactical precision guided weapons. RAFAEL had signed a deal with RelianceDefence Ltd. for air missile systems last year.
During the Defence Expo 2016 in India, RAFAEL Executive Vice-President had said:"Movement towards 'Make in India' is an excellent opportunity for us to showcase our technology. We wouldlike to work with our Indian partner right from the beginning in manufacturing and maintenance of productsso that we can provide an excellent solution to the armed forces."
It would be interesting to watch how India will benefit from RAFAEL as India and Israelset their eyes on future defence deals.
