Balochistan: Mother, daughter killed in 'accidental' grenade explosion

A mother and daughter lost their lives in an explosion at their residence in Balochistan's Panjgur area on Sunday.

According to media reports, the incident happened due to an "accidental" hand grenade that exploded in the homes of the woman and her daughter, also leaving her son injured.

Makran Division Commissioner Bashir Bangulzai said that the boy had found a hand grenade and taken it home. The grenade exploded while he was playing with it inside his house in the Tusp area of Panjgur, the commissioner said.

The boy was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical assistance.

Commissioner Bangulzai said an investigation is underway to ascertain how the child got a hold of the grenade.
