Asif Ali Zardari's assets include thousands of acres of land, luxury bulletproof vehicles: Pakistani media

Pakistan Peoples Party - Parliamentarians (PPP-P) chief Asif Ali Zardari enjoys thousands of acres of agricultural land, many properties and a number of bulletproof vehicles, a report by Pakistani media unveiled.

According to the details of assets submitted by Zardari along with his nomination papers, the total value of his assets amounts to a whopping Rs 758.66 million.

The report states that Zardari owns thousands of acres of land and property in Dubai, livestock, and six luxury bulletproof vehicles including Toyota Land Cruisers and BMWs.

Zardari inherited five properties from his wife and former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto, after her assassination in the year 2007. Former Pakistani Prime Minister is reported to own shares in properties and businesses some of which include a flour mill and a CNG station in Pakistan's Swat and Peshawar.

Marking his return to electoral politics after a gap of 24 years, former Pakistan president Asif Ali Zardari, last month, said that he would contest for a National Assembly seat in the upcoming general elections. Zardari, 62, said that he will contest from his native town Nawabshah.

Zardari also announced the possibility of allying with Pakistan Tehreek-i-insaf chief Imran Khan for the upcoming elections.

"Necessity is the mother of all inventions. There was a necessity in the Senate and if there is a necessity we will do it [form an alliance] and if not we are willing to sit in the opposition or form the government," Zardari said while addressing a gathering in Lahore, Geo TV reported.

The PPP and PTI earlier joined hands in the Senate elections.
