
A roadside bomb claimed the lives of at least seven civilians and left three others wounded in Afghanistan's southern Helmand province, media reports said on Sunday.
Reports further say thatwomen and children were among the victims.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
Elsewhere in Afghanistan, a mortar attacked a market in the east Logar area, killing three civilians and injured seven others during a battle between Afghan officials and the Taliban.
Taliban is known to have a prominent presence in the area which is slowly increasing.
Officials have said that a thorough investigation is being carried out to findthe ones responsiblefor the attack.
