Snachat makes copying difficult for rivals

Snapchat hashired engineers to prevent copying of its features. The team,Strong.Codes,specialises in protection against reverse engineering.

The team develops tools to hide software code.

Snapchat has previously experienced other social media sites mimicking its features. Instagram and Facebook introduced their "story" feature after they were inspired by the popular snap chat story.

In his first earnings conference call in May, Snapchat co-founder Evan Spiegel said, "If you want to be a creative company, you have got to be comfortable with and enjoy the fact that people copy your products if you make great stuff."
