Anti-ICE protestors on Saturday (Feb 7) embraced a new, chaotic style of protest against US President Donald Trump's immigration crackdown in Minneapolis. Dissenters were seen hurling an array of objects, including sex toys, chunks of ice and bottles at federal agents, as the US state marked one month since Renee Good, a mother of three, was shot dead by an ICE agent. Saturday (Feb 7) marked one month since Renee Nicole Good, a Minneapolis resident, mother of three, was shot "in the face by" an ICE agent identified as Jonathan Ross. To mark the sombre occasion, anti-ICE protestors gathered outside the Whipple Federal Building, which houses ICE operations in Minneapolis.

The protest saw protestors throw objectionable objects at federal officers. These objects included dildos of various sizes and colours. A protester was also seen sticking a sex toy to his forehead while mocking ICE agents deployed by Trump in the state.

The protestors, as per reports, stuck dozens of sex toys in the chain-link fence surrounding the ICE facility.

Passing vehicles containing ICE agents and even Hennepin County Sheriff's Office deputies were not spared from the deluge of dildos. In a statement, the Sheriff's office said that protestors also threw ice chunks at the vehicles, causing damage.

"While many individuals are peacefully protesting, some agitators have engaged in unlawful behaviour, including damaging property and throwing ice chunks. A deputy was struck in the head, and a squad vehicle windshield was broken," stated the sheriff's office. "This is not the first time our vehicles have been damaged at this location."

The chaotic protest prompted the sheriff's office to declare the protest an unlawful assembly and arrest 42 people who, as per reports, refused to comply with a dispersal order.

It remains unclear why the protestors used dildos to protest ICE; however, as per posts on X, Saturday's protest was organised under the informal name "Operation Dildo Blitz". Videos circulating online show protestors distributing the sex toys out of sacks.

Potentially, the use of sex toys was meant to create a chaotic, meme-worthy spectacle that would spread online and embarrass authorities. In the aftermath, deputies were seen picking up armfuls of the toys and tossing them back over fences, while protesters laughed at and mocked them.
