'Tubelight' flickers at the box office, is Salman's magic fading?
Story highlights
Salman Khan's "Tubelight" has almost faded out at the box office. The film which was made on a budget of over 80 crores has barely been able to cover its cost in the past week.
The ten-day collection of "Tubelight" is around Rs.119.86 crore approximately. Salman Khan's much hyped Eid releases in the past have usually raked in the moolah but "Tubelight" has disappointed Bollywood.
After "Bahubali 2" and "Dangal" a lot was expected from Salman Khan but this time he has clearly failed to deliver.
Salman's "Sultan" had earned Rs.229.16 crore in the first week last year. One of his lowest ranked film is "Bodygaurd" which earned Rs.115 crore in a week. "Tubelight" has lost up to 50 per cent investment in the first ten days itself.
