John Heard, Peter McCallister of 'Home Alone', dies at 71

Hollywood actor John Heard who famously played Peter McCallister in the "Home Alone" series died in California's Palo Alto at the age of 71.

His body was found at a hotel by the maid service, TMZ quoted family sources as saying. The cause of his death is unknown.

The actor, who featured in films including "Gladiator", "Pelican Beach", "Beaches" and "Big" was staying at the hotel while recovering from a minor back surgery.
