'Baahubali 2' crosses 100-crore milestone on opening day

The SS Rajamouli-directed magnum opus "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" has become the first Indian film to
cross the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office on its opening day on Friday, a Box Office India reportsaid.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh concurred, tweeting that the film had shattered all records to creat history at the boxoffice.
Taran Adarsh said thefilm - whichreleased simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi - netted Rs 121 crore, with the Hindiversion alone minting Rs 41 crores. He added thatthe Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam versions had made 80 crores.
At Rs 155 crore, the net money earned by the film on its openingday was Rs 100 crore more than previous record holder Prem Ratan Dhan Payo's 55 crores.
"Baahubali 2: The Conclusion" stars southern actors Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaahin key roles.
Its prequel "Baahubali: The Beginning" hit screens in 2015.
