'Where did you go without telling me?' Son Stalin writes letter to 'Appa' Karunanidhi

In his letter, Stalin asked his father and former CM Karunanidhi — who passed away yesterday — whether he was completely satisfied with what he had done for Tamil society or if he was just hiding to see if anyone could beat his achievements.
Karunanidhi's son and political heir Stalin has written a letter to his father who died Tuesday.
"I have always called you Thalaivare (Leader). Shall I call you Appa at least once now?" Stalin wrote.
"You would always tell me wherever you went. Now where have you gone without telling me? Where did you go leaving us in the lurch?" he added.

Stalin, in his letter which was written in Tamil and posted on Twitter, also quoted what Karunanidhi wanted written on his memorial: "Here lies the man who worked relentlessly throughout his life."
Stalin then asks Karuna — who has been chief minister of Tamil Nadu five times — if he is satisfied with what he had achieved for Tamil Nadu or if he is only hiding to see if someone can do better than him.
Karunanidhi died Tuesday evening a little after 6 pm at Chennai's Kauvery Hospital. The cause of death was stated as multiple organ failure.
A controversy has broken out since then over where Karunanidhi is to be buried. Stalin had written to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami asking that Karunanidhi be allowed to be buried at Marina Beach which also houses Jayalalithaa's memorial.
The government refused saying there were a number of cases against the construction of memorials on Marina Beach.
The DMK took the matter to the Madras High Court which ordered that Karunanidhi was to be buried at Marina Beach.
