Seychelles' commitment toward boosting ties with India was reinstated on Monday after President Danny Faure broke into a song at the lunch event hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at New Delhi's Hyderabad House.

Ministry of External Affairs' official spokesperson, Raveesh Kumar, posted a short clip of the impressive act on his Twitter handle. The 11-second clip exhibits Seychelles'President strumming a musical instrument and singing a song. The video is winning hearts all across social media and shows Prime Minister Narendra Modi attentively listening to Faure's tune.

"Striking the notes of friendship! Impressive singing by the President of Seychelles Danny Faure of 'O Mon Pei Sesel' at the lunch hosted by PM Modi at Hyderabad House in New Delhi," Raveesh Kumar tweeted out along with the video clip.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Seychelles President Danny Faure said Monday that they had agreed "to work together on" the Assumption Island project.

Modi and Faure made a joint statement in Delhi today after talks between them.

"We have agreed to work together on the Assumption Island project based on each other's rights," PTI reported Modi as saying.

PTI quoted Faure as saying the Assumption Island project was discussed and that the two countries were equally engaged in working together bearing each other's interests in mind.

India and Seychelles had agreed to India building a naval facility on Seychelles' Assumption Island in 2015, but the deal has not moved forward because the Seychelles opposition has refused to ratify it.

Faure had landed in Gujarat on Friday as part of a six-day India tour. After visiting Ahmedabad and Goa, he arrived in Delhi yesterday.
